Shipping & Dispatch Ledger

Welcome to the studio! Whether you are receiving a tiny adventure in an envelope or a new art print for your home, we want to make sure the "magic" arrives safely. Because we run a hybrid studio—hand-packing our monthly kits while partnering with professional printers for our larger art pieces—shipping works a little differently for each.

The Expedition Post Club (Subscription Kits)

Our monthly discovery kits are handcrafted, stamped, and sealed right here in our Maryland studio.

  • Dispatch Schedule: All monthly kits (Little Apprentice, Junior Explorer, and Master Archivist) are prepped in batches and ship during the first week of every month.

  • Shipping Method: We use The Expedition Post (Standard Snail Mail) for our $10.00 and $15.00 envelope tiers. These are sent via USPS to ensure we can include "lumpy" sensory items like our found slime while keeping your costs low.

  • Tracking: Standard "Expedition Post" (envelope tiers) does not include tracking to keep the magic affordable. If you need to follow your dispatch every step of the way, please select Certified Courier (Includes Tracking) at checkout.

  • Carrier: We primarily use USPS for all domestic expeditions.

 Art, Prints & Studio Curiosities

Our non-subscription items (mugs, phone cases, and some larger prints) are printed and shipped directly from our professional printing partners.

  • Processing Time: These items typically ship within 1–3 business days.

  • Combined Shipping: If you buy a kit and an art print at the same time, they will arrive in separate packages—one from our Maryland studio and one from our printer. You will see the combined shipping total at checkout.

Rates & Portals

  • The Expedition Post (Envelopes): $1.20 flat rate per kit.

  • Certified Courier (Tracked): $8.00.

  • Complimentary Studio Shipping: We offer FREE shipping on all orders over $50. This is the best way to gear up for a big expedition!

  • Expedition Territory: Currently, we only ship within the United States. We are still mastering the "magic portals" needed for international travel.

 The "Lost in the Woods" Guarantee

If an automated sorter or a forest troll loses your dispatch, don't worry!

  • Insurance: Every shipment sent via Certified Courier or our Master Archivist boxes includes up to $200 in insurance.

  • Replacements: If your kit doesn't arrive within 14 days of our dispatch date, please reach out to the Archivist at storiesfrommystudio@gmail.com. We will verify your coordinates and send a replacement mission immediately.
